Pólipos na vesícula biliar podem se tornar câncer? Confira

Segundo estatísticas dos órgãos de saúde, pelo menos 5% das pessoas adultas podem desenvolver pólipos da vesícula biliar em algum momento da vida. Esses pólipos se caracterizam como o crescimento anormal de tecido, na parede interna da vesícula biliar, e podem ser benignos ou malignos, portanto, nem sempre se configuram como um câncer.

Na verdade, a maioria dos pólipos não tem tendência a se tornar câncer, sendo apenas depósitos de gordura, mas é muito importante que todo paciente que seja diagnosticado com pólipos tenha acompanhamento de um cirurgião, pois o procedimento cirúrgico pode ser necessário, de acordo com o tamanho e características do pólipo localizado.

Através de ultrassonografia abdominal é possível observar o tamanho do pólipo. Quando ele tem menos de 5mm, dá para acompanharmos por algum tempo, observando sua evolução ou estabilidade, mas quando ele é maior que 5mm, outros exames são necessários, e caso tenha mais de 1cm, há maiores chances de ser um tumor cancerígeno.

Há chances também do tumor benigno evoluir para um câncer de vesícula, e quando há associação dos pólipos com pedras na vesícula, de qualquer tamanho, o tratamento cirúrgico é a melhor indicação, pois os riscos para o câncer são elevados nesses casos.

Como evitar

É possível reduzir as chances de formação de pólipos com uma rotina saudável de alimentação, evitando alimentos fritos e gordurosos, ingerindo mais frutas e legumes, e evitando produtos lácteos integrais.
